Andrea Botez is known by the Internet as a chess player, content creator, boxer, and DJ, but she’s always had one additional dream: to attend Stanford University.

In a journey with never-before-seen footage, Andrea Botez navigates the launch of Twitch and YouTube channels BotezLive with her sister Alexandra Botez; the expectations of her immigrant parents after fleeing communist Romania to pursue the American Dream; and the application process to Stanford University, resulting in the most difficult decision she’s ever had to make.

ANDREA’S GAMBIT is a short documentary about ambition, identity, and the pressure to choose the “right” path when every move carries consequences.

The film is an MPI Original Film in association with Bold Harbor Pictures
